 SENIOR PROJECT ARCHITECT

We'll ask you to:

 

  • Actively manage a team of 3-5 other team members; delegate tasks, manage time and review work

  • Participate in all phases of building design process for senior housing, active adult, multifamily, hospitality and other projects ranging in building size, geographic location and overall complexity

  • Be proficient at leading projects from preliminary design through construction administration

  • Provide conceptual site plans, programming and building designs; use feedback to modify designs

  • Develop and maintain project goals, schedules and budgets

  • Direct and coordinate work of all sub-consultants

  • Collaborate, communicate and document with all project stakeholders

  • Plan, supervise and assist the overall preparation of design and construction documents for projects 

  • Conduct site visits for projects under construction and draft observation reports

  • Oversee planning and building department submittals, reviews and approvals

  • Estimate fee, determine scope of work and prepare proposals and contracts

  • Design solutions that can be technically implemented within the constraints of company goals, budgets and scheduling needs

  • Follow design best practices, senior living community design innovations, multifamily and hospitality design trends and governance restrictions

  • Participate in occasional business development activities; promote the company as appropriate

Show us that you:

  • Earned a Degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture or related field

  • Have 10+ years’ experience working on ground-up and renovation projects; senior housing, multifamily and/or hospitality experience preferred

  • Are a Licensed Architect

  • Exhibit proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit, Sketchup, and Bluebeam a plus

  • Are detail-oriented, responsible, highly organized, and self-directed

  • Possess a solid understanding of building construction and compilation of construction documents

  • Have in-depth knowledge of IBC, UL, NFPA, ADA and other codes as required by the authority having jurisdiction 

  • Will clearly communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders

  • Have desire to manage multiple priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
